Overview

Mode of Action (MoA) primarily binds to Cas8e, but may interact with Cas5e and Cas7e.
Evidence AcrIE3 activity was demonstrated by expressing ACR3112-31 from phage D3112 in P. aeruginosa SMC4386. The expression (ECO_0000017) enabled phage JBD8, which is normally blocked by the CRISPR system, to form plaques at a 10³–10⁵-fold increased efficiency compared to controls. Transformation assays in lysogenized strains supported functional suppression of type I-E activity.
