Overview

Mode of Action (MoA) binds to the Cas3 nuclease and locks it in the ADP-bound form, thus preventing it from binding to the effector-DNA complex and cleaving the target DNA.
Evidence Phage MP29 expresses AcrF3 (gene 29), which blocks CRISPR interference in P. aeruginosa PA14. Plasmid-based expression of AcrF3 restored transformation of targeted plasmids and increased phage plaquing efficiency (ECO_0000016, ECO_0000017).
