Mode of Action (MoA)
binds to cyclic tetra-adenylate and cleaves it into two linear diadenylates.

Evidence
Ectopic expression of AcrIII-1 (SIRV1 gp29) enables infection of a sensitive phage SSeV a host with active type III-B CRISPR immunity (ECO_0000017). Plasmid encoding gp29 (AcrIII-1 gene) can transform in a host with active cA4 (Csx1), but not cA6 (Csm6). LC-MS results show AcrIII-1 cleaves cA4 to ApA>P and ApA (ECO_0001096). AcrIII-1 is crystallised with cA4 (ECO_0001823)
