Overview

Mode of Action (MoA) None
Evidence RB69 phages were serially passaged on E. coli cells containing DarTG1 to select for escape mutants, mutations in gene 61.2 (renamed adfA) were found in resistant phages. Ectopic expression of mutant gp61.2(adfA) or T4 homolog increased plaquing efficiency on DarTG1-expressing cells. ELTA assays showed inhibition of DarT1 toxin activity (no ADP-ribosylation of DNA) when RB69 expressed evolved adfA (ECO_0005801).
