Mode of Action (MoA) AlphaFold 3 predicts a direct interaction between the helicase Cas3 (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/protein/WP_014513746.1) and SIFV2 gp15 (ipTM = 0.79, pTM = 0.81).
Evidence Binding it supported by computational structure modeling evidence (ECO_0006368). Ectopic expression of sifv2_gp15 (ECO_0000017) restores infectivity of susceptible SIRV2MΔgp45–47 in Sulfolobus strain with an active subtype I-A system.
